Lucas parts ways with SM Entertainment 3 years after the release of NCT

On April 24, SM Entertainment announced via Weverse, “Our exclusive contract with Lucas expired on April 24.”

The agency added, “We will cherish the time we spent together with Lucas, from his apprentice days to his debut and various activities, and we sincerely support his new journey and future challenges.”

Lucas debuted in 2018 as part of NCT U and continued to promote with WayV AND SuperM. However, she stopped operations following personal life disputes raised by a former partner. In 2023 he officially left both NCT AND WayV.

The following year, Lucas returned as a solo artist with his first single Renegademarking a new beginning in his career.
