On April 23, a video titled “Make Me Yeonhui-dong’s Ambassador. From New Hot Spots to My Favorite Hangouts, I’m Telling It All” was uploaded to the “IMOS Jeon Somi” YouTube channel.
Introducing the video, Jeon Somi said, “The second stop is my hometown Yeonhui-dong. Every alley has its own charm and is perfect for a walk right now. There is still so much I haven’t shown yet… when should I show it next time?” Having grown up there since elementary school, she revealed that she knows many places and people in the neighborhood.
During the video, Somi meets her father Matthew, and the two enjoy a walk together, grabbing a coffee and going grocery shopping. At one point, someone shouts, “I’m Ye-won,” causing them both to stop. Matthew asks warmly, “Is your father okay?” while Somi runs to greet her with a hug.
Somi then explained the connection, saying, “She is Uncle Go Chang-seok’s daughter,” highlighting the close relationship between the two families.
Previously, Jeon Somi had also mentioned her connection with Go Chang-seok’s family on various shows. Appearing at 12 with Joo Hyun-young, she shared, “I have known Uncle Chang-seok since I was young. He is a friend of my father, so we are very close.”
He added: “His daughter is the same age as me, so we have met since childhood and remained good friends,” noting that the friendship extends to both generations.
