On 18 April, a woman identified as B, believed to be the wife of Mr A (the brother in question), took to social media to accuse him of domestic abuse and released evidence to support her claims.
He first shared messenger conversations with his mother, stating, “Two cases of water torture, two murder attempts. He told me to just die” and “He hit me again yesterday, and when he found out I had recorded him, he hit me again.” These messages detailed his alleged experiences of abuse.
Furthermore, she revealed: “For months I kept dreaming of being beaten and insulted. I even developed a panic disorder – it was really difficult,” as she posted photos showing bruises around her eyes, face, arms, hands and ears. He also shared emergency treatment records from a university hospital, further shocking the public.
B also claimed that the abuse started after the marriage was registered, stating: “At first he targeted my body, but because it was summer and bruises were visible, he started targeting my head.” She added that when she tried to record his verbal abuse, he attempted to subject her to water torture. She further alleged that he was driving recklessly, even with a suspended license, while committing acts of violence against her.

He continued, “What did I do to deserve this? I did everything he told me to do,” expressing his frustration. “He hit me for not saying ‘I love you,’ he made me kneel down and beg when he was in a bad mood, and when I ran to my parents’ house out of fear, he tricked me into thinking it was my fault for leaving him and made me come back,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station reportedly arrested Mr. A on April 15 on charges of forcibly molesting a female BJ, identified as C. He is accused of taking her to his home and committing sexual assault.
Following the allegations, SBS investigative program Curious Stories Y began looking into the case.
