As TWICE enters a new round of contract renewal negotiations with JYP Entertainment, two members, Jeongyeon and Tzuyu, have become the focus of growing speculation about their future.
While reports suggest that changes to their agency affiliations may be on the horizon, both situations remain unconfirmed.

The report also states that he intends to continue promoting with TWICE, raising the possibility of pursuing a deal similar to other K-pop artists who maintain group activities while being managed by different agencies.
JYP Entertainment did not confirm the news, saying only this Contract renewal negotiations are still ongoing and an announcement will be made once decisions have been finalized.
Before the news about Tzuyu emerged, Jeongyeon is said to have met with Varo Entertainment, the agency representing her older sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon. Varo Entertainment acknowledged the meeting but clarified it no exclusive contract has been finalized.
The reports have fueled speculation that more TWICE members may seek separate management for their individual careers while continuing group promotions.
The timing of the rumors coincides with TWICE members becoming increasingly active outside of the group. Since renewing their contracts together in 2022, the members have branched out into music, acting and other entertainment fields. Recent individual activities include:
- Nayeon, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung release solo music.
- Dahyun makes her film debut in You are the apple of my eye.
- Sana joins the Korean-Japanese film Nyangi (provisional title).
- Jeongyeon is chosen New Recruit: The Movie.
Despite the relocation rumors, TWICE has built a reputation as one of K-pop’s tightest groups. Since debuting in 2015, the nine-member group has never experienced a lineup change or member departure. The group recently concluded its sixth world tour, THIS IS FORperforming 81 concerts in 44 cities around the world.
Whether the members ultimately remain under JYP Entertainment or seek out separate agencies for solo work, fans are now waiting to see how TWICE’s next chapter unfolds.
