Simon Dominic recently shared the shocking story of how a thief broke into his house and stole a luxury watch worth hundreds of thousands of dollars before he was discovered due to an unexpected coincidence.
The rapper, also known as Sammdy, addressed the incident in a July 2 video uploaded to the YouTube channel “Life84.”
In the video, longtime friend and webtoon artist Kian84 visited Simon Dominic’s house, where the two talked about friendship, privacy, and expensive items. During the conversation, Kian84 jokingly asked to see the rapper’s luxury watch collection, AllKPop reported.
Simon Dominic quickly replied that his expensive watches were locked in a safe and explained why he had become so careful.
“A thief broke into my house,” he said. “They stole my fully diamond-encrusted watch and later delivered it to a watch shop I visit often.”
According to Simon Dominic, the discovery of the stolen watch occurred purely by chance. A friend who owned the same model visited the shop to look for another watch and noticed one that looked exactly like the missing Simon Dominic piece.
“A friend of mine, who owns the exact same watch, went to that watch store to buy another one and noticed mine,” he recalled. “When I went there and tried it on, it fit my wrist perfectly.”

The rapper explained that the bracelet had not been resized because it was already customized to fit his wrist, confirming that the watch belonged to him.
According to TheChosun, Simon Dominic immediately contacted the authorities. He said detectives joined him at the watch shop on the morning of Christmas Eve to examine the CCTV footage.
The suspect was reportedly quickly identified after he left a copy of his identification when dropping off the watch.
“At 10am on Christmas Eve, I went to the watch shop with the detectives and checked the CCTV footage,” he said. “The thief had left a copy of their ID, so they were caught almost immediately.”
Even after recovering the expensive watch, Simon Dominic decided not to keep it. He admitted that he no longer felt comfortable owning the item after the theft.
“Since it was stolen, it just didn’t feel right anymore, so I sold it right away,” he said.
The incident also changed the way the rapper handles his privacy. Simon Dominic has revealed he no longer films inside his home for safety reasons.
