Shin Hye-sun unexpectedly became one of the most talked about stars at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards after suffering an embarrassing wardrobe mishap during the red carpet event.
Held on May 8 in Seoul, the prestigious awards ceremony brought together many of Korea’s biggest actors and actresses. Shin Hye Sun attended the event as one of the nominees for Best Actress thanks to her performance in Dear Hyeri, where she received praise for her emotional acting.
The actress appeared on the red carpet wearing an elegant black corset-style dress that highlighted her sophisticated look and graceful aura. However, while posing for photographers, the dress reportedly began to slide down, briefly exposing part of her inner garment in live-broadcast footage.
The unexpected moment quickly spread across Korean online communities and social media platforms, with many viewers expressing sympathy for the actress over the embarrassing incident. Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Shin Hye Sun maintained her composure in a professional manner and continued the photo session without showing any visible panic.
The actress was nominated alongside strong contenders including Yoona, Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young and Park Ji-hyun, making this year’s Best Actress category one of the most competitive lineups of the ceremony.
Meanwhile, another unexpected incident involving Shin Hyun-been, best known for her role in Hospital Playlist, also occurred on the Baeksang red carpet. The actress reportedly tripped and fell while walking on the carpet, and some reports speculate that her high heel may have broken during the event.

Luckily, staff members and the event host quickly stepped in to help her. Shin Hyun Been then regained his composure during the official photo session and continued to attend the ceremony in a professional manner.
Despite the minor incidents, both actresses still received praise for their image and professionalism during the event. This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards once again generated massive online attention not only for the award winners, but also for the numerous viral moments that unfolded live on the red carpet.
