TV CHOSUN’s “Seoksam Play Season 1” has officially come to an end after recording ratings in the 0% range for every episode of its broadcast.
The final episode, which aired on May 30, followed the cast members as they visited Busan to celebrate the show’s conclusion.
Excited by the spontaneous and unplanned nature of the trip, the members headed to a sled run. During a “coffee bet sled race,” Jeon So Min showed off incredible speed, even causing a fixed camera to wobble, while Lee Mi Joo finished in last place after repeatedly shouting, “Wait for me!” as she rode alone.
The cast then moved to the beach, where they filmed playful chase scenes and short videos. However, an unexpected incident occurred when Jeon So Min realized that she had forgotten to press the record button, forcing the group to reshoot the content.
While taking a walk along the seaside, Ji Suk Jin jokingly predicted the future of his fellow cast members. “Sang Yeob will emigrate, Mi Joo will marry someone in Hong Kong and So Min will win best actress at the Grand Bell Awards,” he said before adding, “Then she will become so full of herself that she won’t answer our calls anymore,” prompting laughter from everyone.
During their last dinner together, Jeon So Min jokingly used artificial tears as part of a skit as the members reflected on the end of the program. They pointed out, “We’re the kind of people who express affection by teasing each other,” sharing their heartfelt thoughts on the series’ conclusion.
“Seoksam Play” is a mission-based travel variety show hosted by Ji Suk Jin, along with former “Running Man” and “Sixth Sense” cast members Jeon So Min, Lee Sang Yeob and Lee Mi Joo. The idea followed the cast as they visited five cities using a 500,000 won travel budget provided by the production team.
The program was first released on Wavve in August last year before later airing on TV CHOSUN. Despite the power of its cast and its lighthearted road-trip format, “Seoksam Play” posted ratings of 0% across all eight episodes, ultimately ending its run with disappointing viewership results.
