On June 20, Nana attended the Global OTT Awards of the 2026 Korea Streaming International Festival, held at the Busan Cinema Center Outdoor Theatre. The actress took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in the drama Climax.
Nana emerged victorious over a competitive field of candidates, including Lee E-dam Sara’s artCai Wenjing from The devil among usand Mori Nana da Hirayasumifurther demonstrating her strong presence as an actress.
Taking the stage to accept the award, Nana expressed her gratitude, saying: “Thank you for giving me such a meaningful award on a beautiful day in such a wonderful place. I will continue to act and strive to become an actress who can positively influence viewers through sincere and authentic performances.”
Although her speech began on a heartfelt note, Nana surprised the audience with a playful remark as she concluded her acceptance speech.
“Please stay healthy” he said. “Beware of thieves and be happy.”
The unexpected comment immediately sparked applause and laughter from those present.
His joke was a clear reference to the shocking incident that happened in November last year, when an intruder broke into his home in Guri, Gyeonggi Province.
The suspect reportedly entered Nana’s home carrying a weapon, threatened both the actress and her mother, and demanded money and valuables. The individual was subsequently arrested and tried on charges of illegal entry, intimidation and attempted extortion.
During sentencing, prosecutors asked for a 10-year prison sentence. However, the court ultimately handed down a seven-year sentence. Both the prosecution and the defendant subsequently appealed, meaning the legal battle is still ongoing.
Following the ruling, Nana publicly expressed her frustration via social media. Sharing news articles related to the case, he posted messages including: “There is no remorse and there is no forgiveness” as well as “A waste of time” AND “All I can do is laugh” revealing his disappointment with the result.
