Actress Park Eun Bin will show a dramatic transformation in tvN’s upcoming weekend drama Spooky in Love, taking on a role originally made famous by Son Ye Jin.
The new drama is based on the 2011 hit film Spellbound starring Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ki.
Set to premiere on July 18 at 9.10pm KST, the series combines romantic and occult elements in a story about a chaebol heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who fears them more than anything.
Park Eun Bin plays Cheon Yeo Ri, CEO of Reina Hotel and the only blood-related heir of a powerful conglomerate chairman.
Blessed with beauty, wealth and intelligence, Cheon Yeo Ri is known as a powerful figure in the battle for corporate succession. However, she deliberately distances herself from others and has earned the nickname “hidden princess” in business circles.
The newly released footage shows the actress embodying the cool and elegant aura of the mysterious heiress. Although dressed in luxurious clothing, the character is constantly seen wearing gloves and avoiding physical contact with others.

The drama reveals that Cheon Yeo Ri’s isolated lifestyle stems from a supernatural secret.
Not only can he see ghosts, but he can also hear their voices. Additionally, anyone she touches also gains the ability to see spirits, giving her a unique and dangerous supernatural power.
As curiosity grows about how she acquired these abilities, viewers are also anticipating the emotional story behind her decision to cut herself off from relationships and romance.

After acclaimed performances in dramas like Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Castaway Diva, Park Eun Bin is once again attracting attention for adopting a completely different character style.
Many viewers are already expressing excitement over her transformation into a charming but emotionally distant chaebol heiress with supernatural abilities.
With its mix of romance, mystery, horror and high-society intrigue, Spooky in Love is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated dramas of tvN’s summer season.
