Lee Chaeyeon declares passion for the stage: “Even if I die, I will die on stage”

On May 11, Lee Chaeyeon’s agency DayOneDream released an interview video through its official social media channels, in which the singer talked about her comeback, personal growth and dedication to the stage.

During the interview, Lee Chaeyeon reflected on her activities during the break, including her appearance football-themed variety shows and manage his YouTube channel.

“I wanted to stay active in many different ways so that my fandom, Chaerish, wouldn’t feel empty during my hiatus,” she explained. “I feel happier and more fulfilled when Chaerish are happy.”

The singer also revealed that this return is especially significant because it marks her first release under her new agency.

“I was excited and nervous to show many different sides of myself in my new home,” she said. “I thought a lot about how to satisfy the fans, so I feel a huge sense of responsibility.”

Lee Chaeyeon expressed particular affection for her title track “No Tears On The Dancefloor (NTOTD)”, saying that she immediately knew it was the right song for her comeback.

“The moment I first heard it, I thought, ‘This is it.’ It was overwhelming in a good way,” he shared. “I believed it was the perfect song to introduce a new version of myself to a new company.”

The artist also directly participated in the creation of the song’s choreography.

“I thought the choreography should make the emotions of the song more sincere and impactful, so I focused on that while working on it,” she explained.

Lee Chaeyeon candidly admitted that she often struggles with perfectionism and insecurity, but she also acknowledged her growth as an artist.

“I think I’ve developed some sort of experience and professionalism,” he said. “Even without someone teaching me, I naturally find the camera angles that look best and adjust the choreography myself.”

The former IZ*ONE member described the central message of Until death AS “despite everything”.

“I love the stage so much that this album contains my strong determination that even if I die, I will die on the stage,” he said.

Lee Chaeyeon continued, “No matter what difficulties or situations come my way, I won’t let go of this phase. I don’t want my story to be remembered only through sadness, I hope it feels more like a leap forward.”

He also shared a heartfelt message for fans who are facing difficult times.

“I hope this song can help people even a little bit when they are faced with situations that they need to overcome,” he said warmly.

Concluding the interview, Lee Chaeyeon thanked her Chaerish fandom for continuously supporting her at every stage of her career.

“I think we weathered the winter well together,” he said. “Now I hope it will always feel like spring, summer and autumn full of flowers. I will continue to work harder and repay the fans with my performances.”
