On May 22, the preview footage at the end of the latest episode with Jo Jung-suk as next week’s guest was released on Hyeri’s YouTube channel.
Hyeri welcomed him warmly, saying it seemed like they met on broadcast for the first time in 9 years after working on a drama together. Jo Jung-suk also showed affection for Hyeri, sharing that although he has no younger siblings and is the youngest in his family, Hyeri feels like a little sister to him.
During the preview, Jo Jung-suk also talked about his marriage to singer Gummy. He clarified that they did not have a wedding ceremony, saying many people still wonder why they weren’t invited. “I didn’t have a wedding. But a lot of people ask me, ‘Why didn’t you invite me to your wedding?’ I didn’t have one,” he explained.
The funniest moment came when he started talking about his daughters. Jo Jung-suk said that his first daughter looks like him so much that he prayed that his second daughter would be different. However, things didn’t go as planned. “My first daughter looks so much like me. So I prayed for the second, but what happened? She looks even more like me than the first. It’s just a stamp,” he said. Then he joked, “In our house there are three Jo Jung-suk and one Gummy.”
Hyeri replied that having two daughters must make him very worried. Jo Jung-suk immediately looked like he needed a drink, making everyone laugh. Hyeri then staged a situation where his future teenage daughter slams the door in front of him. Even imagining it seemed too much for Jo Jung-suk, who reacted emotionally. “I’m choking. Stop it,” he said. But when Hyeri continued the role-play, Jo Jung-suk confessed: “I think I’m going to cry” showing her soft “silly daughter” side.
Jo Jung-suk married singer Gummy in 2018. The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2020 and their second daughter this January.
