Harisu confesses that she wants children and is considering a uterus transplant for her ex-husband

Recently, the YouTube channel Exclusive world: that person from back then uploaded a video titled “Harisu’s heartbreaking story of dreaming of marriage and childbirth but never becoming a mother.” The clip was a re-edited version of Harisu’s story that originally aired Exclusive world in July 2021.

In the video, Harisu welcomed the production crew along with his 16 dogs. Introducing them affectionately, she said, “These are my sons, daughters and grandchildren.” Harisu’s mother later she described her daughter as the “most heartbreaking child” in the family. He explained, “She can’t have children. Everything else is normal, but pregnancy is the one thing she can’t do.”

Harisu candidly shared, “I always dreamed of having a child with the person I loved.” He then revealed it she had once seriously considered a uterus transplant. “People who transition from female to male often have their uterus removed, so I also thought about the possibility of a transplant,” he explained.

He continued, “At first, pregnancy was completely impossible for me. But when I heard that there could be even the slightest possibility, I decided even more to try.” However, he admitted that the reality was much more difficult than he had hoped, said, “It wasn’t as simple as it seemed.”

Harisu also opened up about the painful reason behind her divorce from ex-husband Micky Jung. Holding back tears, he explained, “He was the only son in his family. The family line would end with me.” He further revealed how emotionally difficult those years had been, adding, “Whenever dark thoughts crossed my mind, I endured them by thinking of my mother.”

Born in 1975, Harisu made her debut in 2001 through a television commercial for DoDo cosmetics. He later built his musical career with songs like Temptation, Foxy Lady and Make Your Life.

At the time, Harisu became widely known as one of South Korea’s first openly transgender celebrities. In 2007, she married singer Micky Jung, and the couple received enormous public attention as the country’s first high-profile transgender married couple. Even after marriage, they were often praised for their loving relationship, but in 2017, the couple announced their mutual divorce after 10 years together, leaving many fans saddened.
