More than a year after the passing of actress Barbie Hsu, DJ Koo is reportedly still living in Taiwan, spending most of his days at her grave with no plans to return to work.

Visitors to Chin Pao San Memorial Park recently claimed to have spotted DJ Koo at his late wife’s grave. Witnesses described him as noticeably thinner and paler than before, adding that he appeared physically exhausted. Wearing a jacket and baseball cap, he sat calmly in a folding chair, concentrating on the tablet in his hands. According to those familiar with the cemetery, it has become part of her daily routine since Barbie Hsu died.

For nearly two years, DJ Koo’s life was largely centered around visiting his wife’s resting place. He reportedly brings food to the cemetery every morning, stays there all day regardless of the weather, and only leaves after dark. Every evening, before returning home, he is said to gently kiss his grave.

Previous reports from several bloggers suggested that DJ Koo would return to South Korea after completing a memorial for Barbie Hsu and marking the one-year anniversary of her passing. However, he has yet to leave Taiwan. She also did not resume her entertainment career or renew several endorsement deals, including a promotional deal with a cosmetic clinic in Taiwan.

In June, DJ Koo appeared in a video for a Korean TV show, where he shared memories of the house where he and Barbie Hsu spent more than 20 years ago. She revealed that during their first relationship, she flew to South Korea almost every weekend to see him. The house still contains many of her childhood photographs, personal items and even old hair clips she once used.

Barbie Hsu’s younger sister, Dee Hsu, also revealed that DJ Koo created nearly 250 portraits of his late wife over the past eight months, forming what she described as a “wall of memory” inside his house. She hopes to organize an exhibition in the future so that the public can see Barbie Hsu through her husband’s artistic perspective.

At the end of June, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) officially announced that asteroid no. 208663 was called “Barbie Hsu Stella”symbolizing his lasting legacy and the light that continues to shine throughout the universe.
