G.NA breaks his silence after 10 years of controversy over prostitution: “I still have a lot to say”

On May 18, G.NA gained attention online after posting a video of herself singing inside a car, showing her enjoying music again after many years out of the spotlight.

The singer emotionally shared: “Singing is one of the happiest parts of my life. For a long time I forgot what that feeling was like, but little by little music is helping me become myself again.”

He went on to suggest that there are still many untold stories that he hopes to share one day. “I still have so much to say. Maybe one day I will finally be able to fully share my story. Until then, I will continue to sing honestly,” she confessed.

G.NA also expressed gratitude towards the fans who continued to support her despite the long hiatus. “Thank you to everyone who listened to my story and stayed with me,” the singer added.

G.NA officially debuted in 2010 and rose to fame with hit songs including I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better and Black & White, becoming one of the most popular female soloists of her generation.

However, in 2016, the singer stopped all entertainment activities after being fined KRW 2 million for prostitution-related charges. At the time, G.NA denied the allegations and explained that the controversy involved a Korean-American businessman she was dating, prompting intense public debate.

Following the scandal, G.NA settled in Canada and largely stayed away from the Korean entertainment industry for years.

Since last year, however, the singer has gradually resumed social media activity and begun to reconnect with fans, sparking growing interest over whether she may eventually return to full musical activities.
