Taiwanese actors Wu Kang Ren and Ivy Shao are once again the talk of showbiz after paparazzi caught the reunited couple spending nearly 16 hours together, including a fond hospital visit.
According to Taiwanese outlet CTWant, photographers followed the couple for a 16-hour date on June 17. Wu Kang Ren and Ivy Shao were seen arriving together at the hospital for a medical check-up, both wearing hats and masks in an apparent attempt to avoid attention.
Although they tried to keep a low profile, the two did not hide their affection. They were photographed holding hands and hugging as they rode an escalator and walked through the hospital lobby and cafeteria.
After leaving the hospital, Wu Kang Ren would accompany Ivy Shao home before buying her medicine and dinner. Reports claimed that the actress was suffering from a serious illness and appeared noticeably pale during the outing.
The celebrity couple have become increasingly open about their rekindled romance in recent months. Earlier this year, during the Lunar New Year holiday, Ivy Shao shared a photo of herself leaning on Wu Kang Ren after a night of partying. In the image, the actor smiled at the camera while giving the peace sign, delighting fans who praised the pair’s natural chemistry. Their recent public appearances have fueled speculation that the relationship is becoming increasingly serious.
According to China Times, Wu Kang Ren has purchased a four-story villa worth about NT$50 million (about $1.7 million) as the couple’s future marital home. While none of the actors have publicly commented on the wedding plans, the report has intensified speculation that wedding preparations may already be underway.
Ivy Shao, born in 1989, is known for starring in drama films such as: Return to 1989, The Perfect Match, Mars: Zero’s Revolution, The Perfect Secret and Love at Second Sight.
Wu Kang Ren, born in 1982, is widely considered one of Taiwan’s best actors. He has achieved critical acclaim throughout his career and most recently won Best Actor (Golden Bell Awards) in 2026.
Before reuniting with Ivy Shao, Wu Kang Ren was often linked to several famous actresses in Taiwan’s entertainment industry, earning him a reputation as one of the island’s highest-profile leading men.
