There are no boundaries in love. Wavve’s new original dating reality show, Stand By Me, has officially confirmed its premiere date for June 19th.
Stand By Me introduces a new take on romantic reality programming, exploring authentic emotions and different possibilities for love beyond genre labels. Participants enter the show without gender boundaries, focusing solely on emotional connection and the “possibility” of love as they navigate relationships in whatever direction their feelings take them.
Unlike traditional dating shows, Stand By Me places a greater emphasis on contestants getting to know each other deeply while grappling with their own emotions and personal truths.
The show also unveiled the official poster and teaser. The poster features the silhouettes of three men and women sitting side by side, using an unconventional composition to suggest relationships that are not fixed in a single direction. Accompanied by the phrase “All the possibilities of love we could have”, the image inspires anticipation for the unique atmosphere of the show.
The newly released teaser ramps up the excitement even further by showing the cast’s candid and ever-changing emotions. During their first meetings, participants ask each other: “What genre did you expect?” revealing an open-minded perspective towards relationships in every direction.
As emotions become more complicated and romantic connections begin to intertwine, the teaser includes the line, “Let’s keep it open, that’s why we came here, right?” followed by scenes of three participants sitting together on the beach, heightening curiosity about the borderless love story that will unfold.
