VIXX member and actor Leo, whose real name is Jeong Taek-woon, has officially signed an exclusive contract with SUBLIME, marking a new turning point in his career after becoming a free agent following the end of his deal with Big Boss Entertainment.
On May 14, SUBLIME confirmed the news and welcomed Leo to the agency. The company praised his long career in music, entertainment and acting, saying they aim to fully support him moving forward, Soompi reported.
“Jung Taek Woon has established his unique style through his music, performances and acting,” SUBLIME said in a statement. “We will be unconditional in our support and become a trusted partner so that its unique charm can shine even brighter.”
Before joining SUBLIME, Leo had been working for Big Boss Entertainment since 2024. His contract recently expired, making him officially a free agent.
A representative for Big Boss Entertainment confirmed the split, saying, “Leo’s exclusive contract has expired. We have decided to end our journey together beautifully, cheering each other on.” The split was described as smooth, with both parties parting on good terms.
Leo first debuted in 2012 as a member of VIXX and quickly became known for his strong voice and emotional performances. Over the years, he has built a loyal fan base through group hits such as “I’m Sorry, That’s All I Can Say,” “Hallucination,” “Curse of Love” and “Chain.”
VIXX’s Leo Expands Acting Career
In addition to music, Leo has also made a name for himself in musical theater. He began his stage acting career with “Full House” and later appeared in major productions such as “Elisabeth,” “Frankenstein,” “Marie Antoinette,” “Monte Cristo,” “The Last Kiss,” “The Great Comet” and “Memphis.”
His steady growth in musicals has helped him distinguish himself as both a singer and a serious stage actor.
Leo is now preparing for his next big project, the upcoming musical “Yumi’s Cells”, which will debut on June 30. He will take on the role of a mysterious character known as “Cell 109,” a part that has already sparked curiosity among fans.
SUBLIME’s roster includes several well-known names such as Nana, Hyeri, Im Soo-hyang and Seo Yea-ji, placing Leo in a strong group of artists in the agency.
Recently, Leo also reunited with VIXX members for the 2026 fan concert “Case No. VIXX” at Seoul KBS Arena. It marked the group’s first full-lineup performance in seven years since 2019, garnering strong support from fans and selling out all sessions.
According to Chosun, during the event, Leo shared a heartfelt message, saying that he hopes that “fans and VIXX can continue to walk this path together for a long time.”
