Girls’ Generation unit members “HyoRiSoo” HyoYeon, Yuri and Sooyoung will show off their lively chemistry and funny banter on MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo.
The June 20th broadcast of Hangout with Yoo will feature Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Heo Kyung Hwan and Joo Woo Jae who will propose to HyoRiSoo to record the short form drama OST Starry Night.
Yoo Jae Suk, creator of Starry Night, confidently introduced the song by saying: “This track is perfect as a seasonal summer anthem,” before unveiling a specially staged version tailored for HyoRiSoo. However, he soon expressed concern, noting: “The vocal range is quite high and I’m not sure HyoRiSoo can handle the high notes.”
Instead of immediately accepting the proposal, HyoRiSoo jokingly engaged in a negotiation with Yoo Jae Suk. Yuri showed interest in the short drama directed by Yoo, openly expressing her desire to get the female lead role. This unexpectedly put her in competition with Heo Kyung Hwan’s cross-dressing character, Heo In Ok. Yuri also made a bold proposal, leaving viewers curious about Yoo Jae Suk’s reaction.
Meanwhile, after listening to the new arranged version of the song, HyoYeon expressed her satisfaction, saying: “The track feels so much richer now and makes me want to do it.” When Haha and Joo Woo Jae jokingly encouraged the group to invest in the project, Sooyoung quickly responded, “So we should sing first and then get paid?” His witty remark immediately drew laughter.
Later, Sooyoung also found herself in a playful rivalry with HyoYeon and Yuri as the trio jokingly competed for the position of lead singer, leading to a fun battle of high notes.
Meanwhile, Sooyoung recently confirmed on June 10 that she and actor Jung Kyung Ho had ended their 14-year romantic relationship.
