On May 14, SISTAR’s Bora appeared as a guest on the YouTube talk show “Cho Hyun Ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night”, hosted by Cho Hyun Ah.
During the conversation, Bora recalled SISTAR’s peak years and revealed how the group was trained to project confidence and charisma.
“We were always told to walk like we were kicking our hips,” he joked, also demonstrating the typical confident walk that has become associated with SISTAR’s image.
He also proudly recalled SISTAR’s legendary performances at the idol sports competition show Idol Star Athletics Championships, often nicknamed “ISAC.” “I have won awards in sprinting, archery, hurdles and even high jump,” he shared.
When Cho Hyun Ah commented, “Why did SISTAR seem so intimidating then?” Bora admitted with a laugh, “I think we had a strong energy.” However, he quickly clarified a common misconception. “But I never once scolded the junior idols,” he pointed out.
In addition to talking about SISTAR, Bora also revealed her strong desire to return to variety entertainment.
Many people currently recognize her primarily as an actress, but she explained: “Many people think that I only focus on acting now, but I actually want to do variety shows as well.” She specifically mentioned shows like Amazing Saturday, Home Alone, and Steel Troops Girls as shows she’d like to participate in in the future.

Bora also said she had a difficult time without agency representation for nearly three years. “I felt guilty for resting,” he confessed. “But eventually I started thinking, ‘It’s OK to take a break.’”
The singer-actress further reflected on emotionally discovering a different side of herself. “I thought I was a bright person, but I realized I was darker than everyone else,” she admitted honestly. “I was wrapping myself in a cheerful image.”
She concluded by saying that she now wants to show her authentic self rather than a carefully constructed character, revealing a more mature and grounded perspective that resonated deeply with viewers.
