On May 20, Allure Korea uploaded a new video featuring Seo In-young, marking one of her last public appearances after her return to activities. During the interview the singer talked about her past controversies, regrets and hopes for future collaborations.
While talking about the artists she would like to work with, Seo In-young mentioned Gain and shared her desire to perform together one day.
He said, “I think it would be great if smaller artists got together on one stage. We may be small, but we still have a lot to offer,” sending a friendly “love call” towards Ga-in.
His remarks quickly attracted attention due to the couple’s previously known tension.
Seo In-young also revisited the controversy surrounding an old appearance on MBC Radio starwhere Gain had mentioned feeling upset during a past interaction involving Brown Eyed Girls member Narsha.
At the time, Seo In-young responded emotionally via social media, posting a long message criticizing Gain’s comments. The incident was widely discussed online and contributed to public scrutiny over Seo In-young’s outspoken personality.
Reflecting on the situation years later, Seo In-young admitted that she regretted publicly posting her emotions online.
“Why did I write all this down in such detail?” he said, calling his past behavior embarrassing.
She also revealed that writer and TV host Heo Ji-woong once jokingly called her afterwards and told her to “at least use spacing” when you publish online.
Seo In-young explained that although she and Gain had previously reconciled in private, she had never properly apologized publicly.
He then sent a direct message to Gain via the video, saying: “I am sincerely sorry for even posting that message.”
The apology has since caught the attention of fans, especially as both singers have experienced periods away from the spotlight due to controversy and hiatus.
Meanwhile, Gain has gradually resumed communication with fans via social media after taking an extended hiatus following his 2021 propofol-related case, which ended in a fine.
