CORTIS are quickly becoming one of the biggest bands of 2026 after achieving astonishing first week album sales with their latest comeback.
According to Hanteo Chart on May 11, CORTIS’ second mini album GREENGREEN it sold a whopping 2,313,291 copies during its first week of release from May 4 to 10, officially reaching the top of the weekly album chart.
The result marks an extraordinary leap from the group’s debut mini album COLOR OUT OF LINEwhich recorded around 436,000 sales in its first week in September last year. In less than a year since their debut, the rookie group has increased their sales more than five times.
Even more impressive, GREENGREEN currently holds the second-highest first-week sales record among all K-pop releases in 2026, behind only BTS’ fifth full-length album ARIRANGwhich reportedly surpassed 4.17 million copies earlier this year.
CORTIS also demonstrated explosive momentum soon after release. The album sold more than 1.2 million copies on its first day, immediately becoming a million seller before surpassing two million copies just four days later.
The group’s title track “RED” It is also enjoying great success at an international level.
On Spotify, CORTIS became the first K-pop boy group debuting in the past five years to enter the platform’s Daily Top Songs Global chart. The song reportedly remained on the chart for 18 consecutive days, while it was also on the weekly Top Songs Global chart for two consecutive weeks.

The group’s monthly Spotify listeners also increased by more than 40% in just one month, topping 10.32 million listeners. According to reports, this places CORTIS among the top five K-pop boy groups globally alongside artists such as Tomorrow X Together and ENHYPEN.
The group is also experiencing significant growth at a national level. “RED” they recently rose to No. 2 on Melon’s Top 100 chart, marking the highest performance on the Korean digital charts of the group’s career thus far.
CORTIS plans to continue the momentum through additional promotional content. On May 11 at 9pm KST, the group will release the music video for the album track “ACAI” through the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel.

The song has already attracted attention because all members participated in its writing and composition. Using an açaí bowl as its central theme, the song conveys a playful message about wanting to become “people of real substance.”
CORTIS debuted under BIGHIT MUSIC in August last year, joining the same label that is home to BTS and TXT. Despite being active for less than a year, the group is already showing signs of becoming one of HYBE’s next big global success stories.
