Red Velvet leader Irene is proving once again why she remains one of K-pop’s most iconic images, with fans going viral online after seeing her first solo concert.
The singer recently kicked off her first Asian tour, 2026 Irene I-Will, with two opening shows in Seoul. While the performances themselves received praise, the hottest topic online quickly became Irene’s breathtaking appearance on the concert’s giant LED screens.
Many fans shared fancams and close-up clips captured during the show, with several posts joking that audiences were too busy filming Irene’s face on the big screen to even focus on the performance.
Online communities and social media platforms were flooded with reactions praising Irene’s images after the concert.
One viral post said: “His images kept me from stopping filming the LED screen.”
Fans particularly highlighted Irene’s glowing skin, sharp facial features and distinctive cool elegance – qualities that have defined her image since debut.

Many netizens commented that although more than ten years have passed since her debut, Irene’s appearance has barely changed.
“Even with new generations of idols debuting every year, Irene still feels untouchable as an image,” one commenter wrote.
Beyond her images, Irene also received positive reactions for successfully leading an entire concert alone for approximately two and a half hours.
During the show, he performed songs from his solo releases, including Like A Flower and Biggest Fan, with songs like Biggest Fan and Back Halo.

The singer also rearranged several classic Red Velvet songs, including Russian Roulette, Rookie and Red Dress, with a more personal artistic style.
Fans praised both the visual production of the concert and Irene’s stage presence during the show.
Since debuting with Red Velvet in 2014 under SM Entertainment, Irene has consistently been regarded as one of K-pop’s best visuals.
Over the years, she has become known for viral fancams, “final fairy” moments, and her elegant aura at music shows and public appearances.

Although the idol faced controversy in 2020 over allegations regarding her attitude towards a stylist, Irene has continued to maintain strong popularity and a loyal fan base throughout her career.
Now in her thirties and representing the third generation of K-pop, Irene continues to trend online whenever she appears alongside younger fourth and fifth generation idols.
Many fans continue to refer to her as a “visual wall” – a term used in Korean entertainment for celebrities considered almost impossible to surpass in appearance.

After more than 10 years of promotion with Red Velvet, Irene officially made her solo debut in November 2024 with Like A Flower.
He subsequently released his first full-length album Biggest Fan in early 2026, selling nearly 200,000 copies on its first day alone.
The success of the album paved the way for Irene’s first solo Asian tour, marking an important new chapter in her career as both a performer and a solo artist.
