Swings revealed a shocking story from the past regarding the unauthorized use of its corporate credit card, which reportedly resulted in losses of nearly 50 million won.
The rapper appeared on the YouTube channel hosted by Lee Eun Ji on May 7, where he and others discussed money and spending habits. During the conversation, Swings unexpectedly revealed that he was a victim of fraud.
When Lee Eun Ji asked if he was the type to give his card to a romantic partner, Swings replied, “There was actually a really crazy incident one time,” before sharing the story.
According to Swings, one day an employee responsible for managing the company’s finances approached him and said, “CEO, there’s a problem.” After checking the records, he found that someone had been using the company credit card for six months and had spent about 50 million won.
He explained that at first the transactions did not appear suspicious because many allegations came from hair and beauty salons. Swings assumed the expenses were related to his company’s artists receiving hair and makeup services.
Ultimately, he decided to contact one of the salons directly. “They gave me the phone number and the name connected to the payments,” he recalled. “When I called, a woman in her 20s or 30s answered.”
According to Swings, the woman said, “Swings told me to use it.”
He explained further, saying the woman claimed they met while drinking and that he allegedly handed her the card and told her: “From now on, use my money.”
However, Swings later realized that he had actually lost the card about six months earlier. “I had already received a replacement card, so I completely forgot about it,” he said.
He believes the woman noticed “Indigo Music Corporation” written on the paper, looked up the company online and realized it belonged to her agency.
“Since nothing happened and no one stopped her, she continued using it,” Swings explained. “The amount gradually became larger and larger.”
Fortunately, the rapper eventually recovered the entire amount over time. He revealed that the woman repaid all the money in monthly installments over the course of about three years.
Looking back on the incident now, Swings laughed and said, “Honestly, it seems like one of the funniest stories of my life.”
