Recalling the moment before his emergency surgery, he said: “I was told that I might miss the golden moment and that necrosis might have already begun. Knowing that the nerves in my fingers might not recover made me cry.”
The situation was critical and the risk of permanent damage loomed over her. Fortunately the surgery was successful. Moon shared a surprisingly lighthearted memory of what he thought after hearing promising news from his doctor: “When they said I could play rock-paper-scissors again, instead of getting excited, I thought I should eat well.”
His response drew laughter, but also reflected a newfound positivity after facing a life-threatening moment.
