Kang Mina will reportedly join the cast of Netflix’s highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling.
According to an exclusive report published by SPOTV News on May 13, Kang Mina recently attended the project’s production success gathering ceremony, signaling her participation in the upcoming series.
The series is based on the worldwide hit fantasy webtoon, which follows the story of Sung Jinwoo, an E-rank hunter considered the weakest among those who protect humanity from monsters that emerge through mysterious gates. After surviving a near-death experience, Sung Jinwoo awakens extraordinary powers and begins his journey to become the world’s strongest hunter.
The live-action adaptation has already attracted massive international attention thanks to the enormous popularity of the original webtoon. The series has reportedly amassed over 14.3 billion global views on KakaoPage and subsequently expanded into a successful anime adaptation that has garnered major international recognition.
Byeon Woo Seok was previously confirmed to star in the series as Sung Jinwoo, while reports also revealed that Han So Hee is set to play Cha Haein, one of the franchise’s most beloved characters.

Attention is now turning to the role Kang Mina will take on in the adaptation. In recent years, Kang Mina has steadily expanded her acting career across various genres. She previously appeared in the fantasy film Twelve and recently gained attention for her intense villain performance as Im Nari in the Netflix series Girigo.
The actress is also preparing to greet viewers again through tvN Tomorrow’s upcoming drama, Again at Work!, which is set to premiere on June 13.
Netflix’s Solo Leveling will be directed by Lee Hae Jun and Kim Byung Seo, with production handled by Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures.
With its stellar line-up and globally recognized source material, the series is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s biggest Korean productions in development.
