According to Yonhap News on May 8, Judge Kim Kwan Joong of the 12th Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court dismissed the damages lawsuit filed by HYBE and related parties against the media company Fast View. The court also ruled that HYBE will bear the entire cost of the legal proceedings.
In 2024, HYBE filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 280 million won in compensation against seven YouTube channels often labeled as “cyber wreckers” — creators accused of spreading sensational or harmful content online. The company alleged that the channels continually spread false information targeting its artists.

Members of ILLIT and their agency BELIFT LAB also joined the lawsuit as plaintiffs.

The channels had previously uploaded videos claiming that ILLIT he copied another artist’s conceptclaimed that a member indirectly criticized another artist through food-related comments and spread rumors linking HYBE artists, including LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, to cult-related controversies.
The court ultimately rejected HYBE’s claims, marking a significant setback in the company’s ongoing legal efforts to combat online defamation and rumor-based content that targets its artists.
