On May 5, to celebrate Children’s Day in South Korea, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun uploaded several childhood photos to her social media account along with the playful caption, “Here is 7-year-old Seo Ju-hyun.”
The photos immediately attracted attention for how much young Seohyun resembled her current appearance. Even at seven years old, the future idol already displayed the big bright eyes, sharp nose and elegant images that fans associate with her today.
In the images, Seohyun poses confidently for the camera while wearing a wide-brimmed hat and making playful expressions among decorative objects. Many fans commented that he already carried the aura of a future celebrity.
The actress and singer is also famous for being picked up by SM Entertainment while riding the subway during elementary school in 2002.
After auditioning at her parents’ encouragement, Seohyun officially became a trainee and spent five years preparing before debuting in 2007 as the youngest member of Girls’ Generation.
The group later became one of the most influential artists in K-pop history through iconic hits including Into the New World, Gee and Genie.
