On July 18, G.NA uploaded a short video titled “Hello again. Chapter 2. Find my voice.”
In the video G.NA reflects on the years spent away from the spotlight. “For the past few years, I’ve watched people create stories about me from afar. Those stories never reflected who I truly am. Even so, I chose to remain silent for a long time, not because those words were true, but because I wasn’t ready,” he said.
He went on to explain that silence is often misunderstood. “People often assume that staying silent means you have nothing to say. But sometimes, silence is simply what you need to endure and survive. It becomes the space you need to heal and to wait until you are finally ready to speak with your own voice.”
Looking ahead to a new chapter in his life, G.NA shared that approaching his 40th birthday has special meaning. “Standing where I am today means more to me than I can fully express. I’m not trying to go back to the past: I simply wanted to present the person I am today.” he said.
The singer added that she has become kinder to herself and is now creating from a place that feels authentic. “I’m not here to prove myself to strangers. Music has always felt like home to me, and that’s why I’m here. This photoshoot wasn’t just another photoshoot—it felt like the start of something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.”

She also hinted that fans would eventually hear her side of the story directly from her, rather than through sensational headlines or rumors. “When the time is right, you will hear my story from me, in my voice, not through shocking headlines or baseless speculation,” he said, signaling his determination to return to the limelight.
G.NA debuted in 2010 with the digital single Things I’d Like to Do with My Lover and rose to fame with hit songs including I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better and Black & White. However, her career came to a halt in 2015 after she was accused of receiving money in exchange for sexual relations with a Korean-American businessman.
At the time, G.NA denied the allegations, insisting the relationship was based on mutual affection. However, in March 2016, she received a summary fine of 2 million won for violating South Korea’s law on punishment for organizing prostitution, effectively ending her career in the Korean entertainment industry.
Following the controversy, G.NA moved to Canada and remained out of the public eye for years. In May of this year, he hinted at a return via social media, writing, “I still have so much to say. Maybe one day I will finally be able to fully share my story. Until then, I will continue to sing honestly.” raising anticipation for his long-awaited return.
