With actress Park Ji Hyun no longer returning for season 2, SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Flex X Cop 2 revealed an impressive lineup of special guest stars ahead of its August premiere.
The debut is scheduled for August 7th Flex X Cop 2 follows wealthy detective Jin Yi Soo, who uses his fortune to solve difficult cases, and new team leader Joo Hye Ra as they team up to solve crimes in a fast-paced detective comedy. The series is expected to continue SBS’s successful line-up of action dramas, joining titles such as Taxi driver, The fiery priestAND The judge of hell.
The drama will succeed So Ji Sub’s hit series Agent Kim reactivatedwhich recently reached a national peak of 21.6%. To keep the momentum going, SBS has put together an extensive roster of guest stars. The lineup includes Kim Eui Sung, who previously made a cameo in the first season, along with child actress Park So Yi, Lee Hak Joo, veteran actor Choi Deok Moon, scene stealer Lee Seok and Son Woo Hyun.
Additional special appearances will include Heo Sung Tae, Jung Chae Yeon, Jeon Hye Bin, Joo Hyun Young, acclaimed musical theater actress Min Kyung Ah, veteran actress Kim Hye Eun and Yoo Seung Ho.
The production team explained that they deliberately cast famous actors during the second season to subvert viewers’ expectations. “For season two, we carefully selected actors for each episode to break the formula that ‘the famous cameo is always the culprit.’ We are grateful to work with talented actors who bring both exceptional performances and strong recognition.”
The team added that they hope viewers will enjoy solving each case together with the Kangha Police Violent Crimes Unit and promised a new season that is fun and full of surprises.
