A shocking controversy involving Jisoo’s older brother has sparked intense online debate in South Korea after a BJ accused him of sexual assault.
According to a report published by Dispatch on May 11, the case revolves around completely opposing testimonies from both sides. While the alleged victim claims she was forcibly assaulted, the defendant insists the encounter was consensual and part of a planned “togetherness.”
The incident reportedly occurred after the two met via a “meal date” arrangement on live streaming platform SOOP.
Dispatch reported that Jisoo’s brother, identified only as “A,” joined BJ “B”‘s live stream and reportedly spent 35,000 star balloons worth around KRW 3.5 million (around $2,500).
As part of the platform’s culture, the donation would earn him a “lunch date” with the streamer. The couple met on April 15 at an izakaya in Cheongdam-dong before later heading to A’s residence.
Both sides reportedly agreed on several parts of the timeline:
- They ate and drank together.
- They watched TV in the living room.
- Finally they moved towards the sleeping area.

However, their testimonies completely differed regarding what happened next.
According to A, the BJ entered the bedroom alone first. “She went to the bedroom first and even sat on the bed by herself. Of course I interpreted this as a green light,” he said.
B, however, firmly denies this interpretation. She claimed that A had taken zolpidem and complained of being sleepy, so she accompanied him to the bedroom simply to help him rest before going out.

“I grabbed his wrist and carried him there because I wanted him to sleep quickly so I could go home,” he reported.
The disagreement escalated further regarding physical contact.
A denied having had intercourse and stated that the interaction involved only a mutual affinity which stopped when required.
B, meanwhile, claimed to have forcibly dragged her onto the bed, removed her clothes against her will, held her body and attempted sexual intercourse despite repeated resistance.

One of the items attracting the most public attention is a series of KakaoTalk messages allegedly sent by B to his manager while he was in the bathroom.
According to the Dispatch, the messages included: “Please save me” and “I think I’m going to be raped.”
B stated that he used the bathroom as an opportunity to secretly ask for help by pretending to wash himself.
His manager reportedly contacted police soon after.

A, however, questioned the credibility of his claims. “If it really was rape, why would he wash himself instead of preserving the evidence?” he reportedly argued.
B replied that she feared he would become suspicious if she behaved differently and said she was trying to buy time until help arrived.
The accused also claimed that BJ and his associates deliberately targeted him after finding out that he was Jisoo’s older brother.
According to A:
- The BJ supposedly knew his identity in advance.
- She would express strong interest throughout dinner.
- He allegedly could have left the apartment at any time.

He further claimed that the situation had been orchestrated to pressure him into reaching a financial settlement.
Meanwhile, B denied all allegations of extortion and stressed that the case immediately became a police matter rather than a private deal.
She also stated that she repeatedly asked him to stop and felt unable to leave the residence safely.
Dispatch outlined the following timeline from the night:
- First alleged harassment: 11.30pm – 11.42pm
- First bathroom break: 11.42pm – 11.53pm
- Second alleged harassment: 11.53pm – 11.59pm
- Second bathroom break: 11.59pm – 12.04am
- Arrival of the police: 00:12
B reportedly presented a medical diagnosis supporting injuries sustained during the alleged assault.

A has denied all allegations and said it intends to take legal action over false allegations.
The case spread rapidly across Korean online communities, with netizens fiercely divided over the conflicting narratives.
Some Internet users consider the emergency messages as decisive evidence to support the alleged victim’s claims. Others question inconsistencies in the timing and argue that the full investigation has not yet concluded.
At this time, no court ruling has been issued and the investigation is still ongoing.
