BTS Announce New Versions “NORMAL” and Official Music Video for “ARIRANG”

BTS is continuing their full-group comeback efforts with more releases from their fifth album, ARIRANG.

BigHit Music announced on July 16 that the group will release three new versions of their album track “NORMAL,” along with the official music video. The new releases include the Korean version of “NORMAL”, an instrumental version and an additional audio version.

The official music video will also be revealed, giving fans a closer look at the song’s concept. The music video will be released exclusively on Spotify at 1pm along with new audio versions, KoreaHerald reported.

Ahead of the official release, BTS shared a teaser via HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel, increasing excitement among fans. The preview shows the seven members in a bathroom, presenting a simple and natural image that is different from their usual stage appearances.

BTS Shares Their Personal Side Through “NORMAL”

According to BigHit Music, the concept highlights BTS’ more ordinary and unfiltered side.

The teaser also confirmed that a photo previously appearing in New York Post and San Francisco Chronicle ads was actually a scene from the “NORMAL” music video. The newspaper-style promotions had already created curiosity among fans before the reveal.

“NORMAL” is an alternative pop track that focuses on the members’ daily experiences and thoughts. The song features strong drum kicks, snare-based production, and melodic rap performances from the members.

Unlike some of BTS’s large-scale performances, the track takes a more personal approach by showing a quieter side of the group.

After its release, “NORMAL” gained the attention of listeners around the world and achieved a strong performance on the charts.

According to AllKPop, the song debuted at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as of April 4, showing continued global interest in BTS’ music.

The upcoming release of the music video also adds another chapter to the success of “ARIRANG”. The album maintained a strong presence on the Billboard 200 chart, ranking at #25 on the July 18 chart. This marks the album’s sixteenth consecutive week on the chart.
