Singer BoA is gaining major attention online after revealing a bold new hairstyle ahead of her upcoming comeback and fan concert activities.
On June 24, the veteran K-pop star uploaded several photos to her Instagram account, sporting a striking blonde, curly hairstyle that immediately caught fans’ attention. The singer appeared with medium-length, tightly curled hair dyed bright blonde, creating a noticeably different image from her usual appearance.
According to Koreaboo, BoA also shared a playful caption with the photos, writing, “It’s one of those days where I suddenly feel the need to curl my hair.”
The post quickly spread across online communities and social media as fans reacted to its revamped graphics and confident new style.
Just a few weeks earlier, on May 23, BoA had already sparked curiosity after posting a short behind-the-scenes video of what appeared to be a movie set.
In the clip, she was seen joking with staff members, dancing playfully and displaying a cheerful mood. She captioned the video: “Yeon Jin… I’m really excited hehe,” raising anticipation for her next activities.
Fans praise BoA’s new look
Fans were mostly focused on her dramatic visual transformation in the video. Her short, blonde bob with waves gave her a cool vibe that many said made her completely different from her previous image.

The renewed attention also comes during an important transition period in BoA’s career. Earlier this year, SM Entertainment confirmed that the singer’s exclusive contract officially ended in December, after working together for around 25 years.
Following her departure, BoA founded her own one-man agency called BayPal Entertainment, marking a new independent chapter in her career.
Despite the major career change, BoA continues to remain active in music and performance. He’s gearing up to release his new digital single, “Ain’t No Hard Feelings,” on May 30.
The singer is also preparing for her upcoming fan concert, “BoA THE MIC,” scheduled for June 27 and 28 at the Grand Auditorium of Yonsei University in Seoul.
