Bai Lu is reportedly facing massive criticism online after her recent appearance on the popular variety show Keep running sparked accusations of disrespectful behavior towards senior cast members.
According to Chinese media reports, the actress lost more than 200,000 followers in just three days, as the negative reaction continued to spread across social media platforms.
The controversy started after Bai Lu referred to the veteran Keep running members Li Chen and Zheng Kai as “energetic seniors” during the show. Some viewers also criticized her actions during a water splashing game segment, claiming that she had acted too aggressively before the official start of the competition.
Online criticism quickly mounted, with some netizens accusing Bai Lu of trying to position herself as the new one “star female member” of the show during Angelababy’s absence. Many longtime viewers argued that Angelababy’s status as the show’s iconic female face could not be easily replaced.
Despite the growing controversy, neither Bai Lu nor his studio have released an official statement to address the backlash. This silence has fueled speculation that her contract with entertainment company Huanyu Entertainment may soon expire, with rumors suggesting that the actress may set up her own independent studio in the future.
Producer Yu Zheng then responded to fans asking why the company didn’t defend Bai Lu more aggressively. In a long message, he stated:

The two stars were previously linked after starring together in History of Kunning Palacewith Chinese paparazzi claiming that Bai Lu was Zhang Linghe’s only confirmed relationship since debut. However, neither actor has ever publicly acknowledged the dating rumors.
