Baek Ji Young reveals that her daughter was bullied in kindergarten

Singer Baek Ji-young recently opened up about a difficult experience involving her daughter, revealing that the little girl faced exclusion from a classmate during her kindergarten years. The story was shared in a video posted on June 4 through the Compassion YouTube channel, in which Baek Ji Young spoke about motherhood, parenting and her family’s faith.

While talking about her daughter Ha Im, the singer recalled how emotional it was to hear that her daughter had been treated rudely by another student.

According to Baek Ji Young, her daughter met a classmate who told her things like: “Don’t follow me” “I don’t like you” AND “Leave.” Although he stressed that the child likely had no bad intentions, hearing about the situation was heartbreaking. “As a mother, hearing those words said to my young daughter made me very angry,” he admitted.

Baek Ji Young revealed that she considered talking to the other child’s parent about the situation. Her daughter, however, asked her not to get involved. What surprised the singer most was her daughter’s response. According to Baek Ji Young, Ha Im said that Jesus also endured situations like this, which led her to reflect on her son’s maturity and faith.

The singer also discussed her parenting philosophy, explaining that one of her core principles is not to raise her voice at her child. Baek Ji Young said that he believes that discipline and anger are two different things. Although she can be stern when necessary, she prefers to correct behavior in a firm and direct manner rather than react emotionally. “I discipline my son, but I don’t get angry” he explained. “I make it short, clear and firm.” She added that she has never yelled at her daughter and tries to guide her through calm but consistent parenting.

Baek Ji Young married actor Jung Suk Won in 2013, and the couple welcomed daughter Ha Im in 2017. The singer has often shared stories about motherhood, often highlighting the lessons she learned while raising her son.
