On October 3, soloist Baek Yerin uploaded a post to Instagram seemingly calling out the producers of Ha Sungwoon’s song “What Are We,” which is the official theme song for the drama “Love Next Door.” According to his post, the song copied his 2019 track “O310.”

Following the noise, Ha Sungwoon’s agency Big Planet Made Entertainment broke its silence and released an official statement, according to Xports News, on October 4.

According to the response, the agency directly addressed Baek Yerin’s Instagram post and clarified that Ha Sungwoon has nothing to do with the ongoing plagiarism issue.

He then stated that Ha Sungwoon only participated in the OST as a singer and that the inclusion was only requested by the show’s production company. He added that the soloist and the agency were not involved in any kind of lyrical composition or arrangement for the OST.

The agency also shared feelings of regret as the soundtrack had become a controversial topic and concern among fans due to a plagiarism-related dispute. However, BPM expressed that they still hope for a solution between Baek Yerin and the producers behind “What Are We”.
