On September 15, the singer-actor uploaded a new vlog to his YouTube channel, titled “You Don’t Have to Just Start with the New Year! | 2024 Chuseok | XIUMIN,” in time for the Chuseok Festival (Korean Thanksgiving).
For this video, Xiumin dressed up in a pastel pink hanbok, looking princely as he made a kite and norigae (traditional Korean accessory).
In the vlog, Xiumin was seen decorating his kite and scribbling stars, hearts, and encouraging lyrics dedicated to EXO-Ls (EXO fandom) on it.
“It’s a kite for our EXO-Ls. I think I did pretty well,” he said as he showed off the final product. “I know our EXO-Ls work hard. They also study hard. I hope you all thrive in every way, both financially and emotionally.”

The idol later admitted that it was his first time making it, but his joy at the creation was palpable.
In the second part of the video, Xiumin chose pink and green bows for his norigae, saying that the color combination goes well with his hanbok.

He also mentioned the symbolism of each pendant glued on the ornament, such as the peony symbolizing wealth and the turtle symbolizing longevity, wisdom and perseverance.
Soon after uploading, Xiumin’s Chuseok vlog received rave comments from EXO-Ls, who praised its beauty and thanked him for his good wishes.
