On July 1st, IVE made a surprise appearance at Everland as part of the special collaboration project “ForEVER IVE”. Members enjoyed various attractions, experienced rides and spent time interacting with fans and visitors.
Many park guests recorded videos of the group’s appearance, and a clip later spread through online communities, sparking debate.
In the video, members gather in the collaboration area while listening to a staff member explain. Most of the members are seen standing with their hands clasped in front of them, while Jang Won Young listens with his arms folded during the briefing.
Some online users criticized his posture, claiming that crossing one’s arms while someone speaks could be perceived as rude in certain situations. Others suggested it could simply be a personal habit and noted that celebrities often face increased scrutiny over minor actions.

The discussion comes shortly after Jang Won Young became embroiled in another online controversy while jetting off to Shanghai, China. At the airport, videos showed her briefly lowering her mask while holding her cap during an identity verification process. Some online communities questioned whether he followed security procedures correctly, giving rise to speculation about alleged preferential treatment. After the debate, Jang Won Young was later seen taking off both her cap and mask during the identity check.
Subsequently, the Korea Airports Corporation updated the identity verification guidelines on its website to explicitly state that passengers should temporarily remove masks, hats and sunglasses during the verification process.
