BTS have once again made history in the UK after attracting around 130,000 fans to two sold-out concerts at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The performances, held July 6 and 7 as part of the BTS World Tour “ARIRANG” in London, set a new record for the highest single-day attendance at the stadium since it opened in 2019, according to concert organizer Live Nation.

The achievement comes seven years after BTS became the first Korean artist to headline a solo concert at London’s Wembley Stadium in 2019. Their return to the city highlighted the group’s enduring popularity, with tickets selling out quickly and thousands of fans packing the venue on both nights.

During the concerts, BTS performed songs from their fifth album, Arirangincluding “Hooligan”, “Body to Body”, “NORMAL” and the title track “SWIM”. The setlist also featured fan favorites like “IDOL” and “FIRE,” combining new music with some of the group’s biggest global hits, AllKpop reported.

Speaking to the audience, the members reflected on their emotional return to London.

“We relived the excitement of Wembley Stadium seven years ago. Thanks to your passion, we had some really fun times today,” they said. They added that the concerts brought back many memories and reminded them of how warmly London has always welcomed them.

The sold-out shows also received strong praise from the British media. Rolling Stone UK described the concert as a performance worthy of “the greatest band in the world” and awarded it five stars.

The Guardian also gave it the highest rating, calling the production a thrilling spectacle and praising the group’s powerful stage presence. The Times awarded four stars, describing BTS’s music as “intensity and addictive” while noting the scope of the production and the audience’s energetic response.

Meanwhile, NME noted the Korean cultural identity woven into the performance, drawing attention to the group’s unique artistic style.

According to The Chosun, BTS also received a warm welcome from Tottenham Hotspur, who labeled the group “Pop Royalty.” The club’s official Korean-language account shared a video of “SWIM” playing throughout the stadium, celebrating the band’s return to London.

Following the record-breaking concerts, BTS will continue the European leg of their world tour with performances at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on July 11 and 12.
