BIGBANG is reportedly preparing to make their long-awaited return this summer with new music. According to reports, the legendary K-pop group will film a new music video in July as G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung prepare for their first official comeback in four years.
An exclusive report from Mydaily claims that BIGBANG will shoot the new music video during the third week of July, from July 19 to 25, Koreaboo reported.
The three members have reportedly adjusted their schedules to prepare for the music video shoot and additional video content tied to the upcoming release.
The comeback will mark the group BIGBANG’s first release since “Still Life,” released in 2022. It will also be the group’s first official activity as a trio after TOP’s departure from BIGBANG in June 2023.
Since then, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have focused on their individual careers while continuing their activities in music and entertainment. The next release is expected to arrive before BIGBANG begins their 2026 WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG, which starts on August 21st at Goyang Stadium.
The tour will celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary and is expected to expand to multiple regions, including Asia, North America, Europe and Australia.
BIGBANG builds excitement for their summer comeback
Earlier this year, BIGBANG returned to the spotlight with their appearance at Coachella 2026, marking their first major festival performance in nearly a decade. The event increased excitement among fans, who had been waiting for the group’s return to the stage for a long time.
G-Dragon previously shared his enthusiasm for BIGBANG’s anniversary activities during a fan event.
“This year, BIGBANG will return for their 20th anniversary. Both as a member and a fan, I can’t wait for it, and I think all the members feel the same,” he said.
According to Seru, Daesung also described the group’s comeback with a meaningful message, saying, “It’s not just a comeback, it’s our reboot.”
Although the group’s new project has not yet received an official release date, industry reports suggest that BIGBANG may release a physical single with two or three new songs instead of a full album due to the timeline.
TOP will not participate in their next comeback or world tour. After leaving YG Entertainment in 2023, he continued to pursue solo music and acting projects. His latest release with BIGBANG was widely regarded as “Still Life”.
