As reported by MyDaily on May 21, the first hearing for Source Music’s ₩500 million KRW damages lawsuit against Min Hee-jin has been officially postponed from May 29 to June 12 at 4:45 pm.
The delay reportedly came after Min Hee-jin’s legal team submitted a request to change the hearing date to May 19, which the court later accepted.
Source Music originally filed a lawsuit against Min Hee-jin in July 2024 in the Seoul Western District Court. The company argued that several public statements made during the conflict with parent company HYBE were false and malicious.
During a highly publicized press conference, Min Hee-jin said HYBE has broken its promise to debut NewJeans as the company’s first girl group. He also alleged that Source Music neglected the members of NewJeans and failed to adequately support or promote the group.
In response, Source Music strongly denied the allegations and criticized Min Hee-jin for repeatedly publicly mentioning other artists in what the company described as a disrespectful manner.
The label further argued that claims that LE SSERAFIM harmed other artists or unfairly benefited from the company’s favoritism were false narratives spread as established facts to manipulate public opinion.

The ongoing dispute between HYBE, Min Hee-jin, ADOR and several affiliated labels has remained one of the most closely watched legal and business conflicts in the Korean entertainment industry over the past two years.
With the hearing now postponed once again, public attention continues to focus on how the legal battle could impact both the companies involved and HYBE’s broader management structure going forward.
