On May 21, Jisoo traveled to Hong Kong to attend the opening of Dior’s exclusive pop-up boutique at Landmark Chater in Central. Even before her arrival, fans had already flooded online communities with photos from the airport, creating huge anticipation for the global ambassador’s appearance.
Once Jisoo officially appeared at the event, the venue quickly transformed into a sea of fans, with BLINK reportedly filling multiple floors of the shopping complex to welcome the idol often nicknamed the “Princess Dior”.

The event showcased Dior’s latest Fall 2026 collection under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson alongside exclusive Dioriviera pieces. However, the biggest discussion online wasn’t about the collection itself, but Jisoo’s dramatic new style direction.
For the event, Jisoo wore a charcoal gray midi dress featuring a draped neckline, a structured silhouette, floral embellishments and a thin black belt with gold detailing. She completed the look with matching slingback shoes and a white Lady Dior bag.

While many praised the elegant sophistication of the outfit, others joked that the style resembled it “business attire” or even the appearance of a “chaebol mother-in-law” from a Korean drama rather than a typical K-pop idol fashion moment.
Her low double bun hairstyle tied with black ribbons further intensified the mature image, giving the BLACKPINK member a noticeably more sober and aristocratic aura than her usual youthful style.
Despite the mixed reactions, many fans admitted that Jisoo’s visuals and improved aura ultimately kept the look going successfully.

Observers have noted that instead of relying solely on sweet or glamorous charm, Jisoo now projects a calmer, more luxurious image associated with high fashion sophistication. His expressions, posture and overall presence at the event were widely praised for aligning closely with Jonathan Anderson’s evolving creative direction for Dior, which emphasizes elegance, intellect, vintage inspiration and unconventional fashion aesthetics.
The event also revived memories of Jisoo’s controversial outfit from last year’s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026, which some onlookers compared to a “maid uniform”. However, many netizens now believe that the idol’s growing confidence in fashion and her stronger presence allow her to handle even Dior’s most challenging style choices more convincingly than before.

As discussions continue to spread across social media, Jisoo’s appearance in Hong Kong is once again proving her enormous influence in both K-pop and the world of luxury fashion.
