BTS members J-Hope and V are going viral after reacting in real time to Drake’s surprise mention of BTS in his new track “Make Them Cry,” from his recently released album Iceman.
The moment quickly spread online after V posted a short Instagram story showing their stunned reaction. The clip shows J-Hope and V hanging out in a room, casually vibing to the song before the moment arrives.
According to Rolling Stone, as Drake raps, “I feel like BTS, ’cause it took me my whole career to get discovered like this,” both artists suddenly stop moving.
Their expressions go from relaxed to shocked as they look at each other in disbelief, clearly surprised by the scream. The two then turn to the camera, still processing what they just heard. V shared the moment without any caption, only tagging Drake’s account, letting the reaction speak for itself.
Fans quickly took to the clip and spread it across social media, calling it one of the most authentic celebrity reactions of the day.
The connection between BTS and Drake resurfaces
This isn’t the first time BTS and Drake have crossed paths in pop culture history. In 2018, Drake featured a clip of J-Hope’s viral “In My Feelings” dance challenge in the official music video of his hit song, showing an early connection between the two global artists, Billboard reported.
The connection between them has also been mentioned in interviews over the years, with J-Hope previously naming Drake as a dream collaboration artist. That long-standing admiration has made the latter name even more meaningful to fans who follow both artists closely.
The moment comes as BTS continues a busy year in music. The group recently released their album ARIRANGwhich achieved strong results on the Billboard charts, including several weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and a chart-topping single. They are also currently touring around the world, performing at major stadiums as part of their ongoing global programme.
On Drake’s part, the release of Iceman it was part of a surprise triple album that also included Bridesmaid AND Habibticatching fans off guard with its scope and timing.
