According to Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday, on April 9 (local time), Barbie Hsu’s younger sister Dee Hsu, who recently announced her return to the entertainment industry, attended an event of the skin care brand and met fans. During an interview, she was asked if she suggested exercising together with her brother-in-law Koo Jun Yup. She replied with a smile, “No, but he doesn’t seem very interested. These days he is deeply immersed in painting.”
He continued, “He focused on creative work centered around my sister. Every time he completes a piece, he sends me photos and I’m always amazed. It captures not only her gaze but also her soul, it’s incredibly realistic.” He added that more than ten portraits of Barbie Hsu in various forms have already been completed.
Dee Hsu also expressed her desire to hold an exhibition, saying that it would be a shame to only keep the artworks at home. “I want to show the public what Barbie Hsu looks like through the eyes of the person who loved her the most,” he said, adding that there are plans to offer the pieces at reasonable prices so fans can own them. He emotionally shared, “I hope people will remember my sister forever.”
When asked if she plans to invite Koo Jun Yup to appear on a broadcast, Dee Hsu responded cautiously. “I don’t want to put him in a difficult position” he said. “Right now, I want him to live peacefully in his world.” However, he reassured fans by adding: “Our family gets together for meals every week and, from what I’ve seen, he’s doing much better. Now he has life in his eyes again and even smiles when we joke with him.”

He also strongly denied recent rumors of a property dispute between Koo Jun Yup and his mother, stating: “Our family is closer than ever and full of love,” dismissing speculation.
Previously, Barbie Hsu, one of Taiwan’s most beloved actresses and wife of Koo Jun Yup, died in February last year at the age of 48 due to pneumonia while traveling in Japan with her family.
