Park Na Rae appears puffed up after the police investigation and offers a direct apology for the change in attitude

On February 20 at around 3pm, Park Na Rae showed up at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul as a suspect in a complaint involving charges such as special injury and violations of the Medical Service Law. After about 7 hours and 30 minutes of interrogation, she left around 10.40pm

Wearing glasses and a black coat, Park Na Rae appeared visibly fatigued, with his face a little swollen following the lengthy investigation. However, his expression remained relatively calm as he bowed his head and answered reporters’ questions.

When asked what she had clarified during the investigation, she said: “I faithfully answered the investigators’ questions and I answered truthfully.” As for the workplace harassment allegations against her former manager, she drew a line, saying, “I believe this part will be revealed through the investigation.”

In response to the question of whether she had ever thrown a glass of alcohol at her managers, Park Na Rae replied: “I’m going to correct the parts that aren’t true.” He added: “I once again sincerely apologize for causing concern due to these inconvenient matters.” He bowed low as he apologized.

When asked if she had anything to say to her former managers, she responded briefly: “No.” She declined to comment on allegations related to unpaid wages to an ex-boyfriend and suspected illegal drug use.

What struck me most was the change in his behavior.

Previously, after various allegations surfaced, Park Na Rae remained silent before addressing the issue in December through a YouTube video on the channel “Golden Time with Baek Eun Young” (백은영의 골든타임). At the time, she said, “I take seriously the concerns and fatigue caused by the recent problems” and announced that she would voluntarily resign from all programs and suspend activities. However, he avoided detailed explanations, saying: “As the matter is subject to legal procedures, I will refrain from making further public statements.” The video drew criticism for its lack of a direct apology, with some viewers describing its tone as overly controlled and emotionally distant.

In contrast, following this appearance to the police, Park Na Rae bowed at a 90-degree angle and explicitly said: “I apologize for causing concern.” His facial expression appeared softer than before, and he even told reporters, “Please come home safely. It’s late, but Happy New Year.”

The case arose from complaints filed by her former managers, who accused her of workplace harassment, verbal abuse, unpaid bills and proxy medical prescriptions. They filed charges including special injury, defamation by false information and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act at the Gangnam police station.

Park Na Rae has counter-filed complaints against her former managers at Yongsan Police Station on charges including attempted extortion and workplace embezzlement. Reports indicate that a total of 8 cases related to her have been filed: 6 at Gangnam Police Station and 2 at Yongsan Police Station.

As the investigation continues, attention remains focused not only on the legal outcome, but also on whether its change in tone will affect public perception in the future.
