December 29, JTBC Crime boss revealed the story of A, a woman in her 40s and mother of two, who claimed that her marriage had broken down due to her husband’s affair with a famous trotting singer.
According to A, her husband started going out often and suddenly canceled a family vacation planned earlier this year. In February he finally left the family home. While checking his phone, A discovered the trotting singer’s name along with her date of birth saved in his contacts. When confronted, her husband insisted they were “just friends.”
However, suspicions increased when her husband was seen accompanying the singer to her events. Unable to accept the explanation, A contacted the singer directly in March.
“She insisted that they were just friends and warned me that she would sue me through her agency if I continued to contact her,” One remembered.
The situation worsened when A, through a lawyer, discovered that her husband was living with the singer. CCTV footage from an apartment complex allegedly showed the two hugging and kissing, further strengthening A’s case.
Despite repeatedly texting the singer asking to stop seeing her husband, A received no response. It was only after A sent a formal legal notice in September that the singer contacted her.
“She told me she was a victim too” A saying. “He claimed they had already broken up and said he was struggling financially, supporting his parents and had no money.”
According to A, the singer explained that the man had told her that his divorce was almost final and that they intended to get married, also introducing her to his parents.
“He said he endured a long period of darkness to get to where he is now and that he has a lot to lose as a celebrity,” An addition.
The singer has reportedly asked for leniency, saying that being forced to leave her current TV show could result in large penalties. The woman reportedly asked whether it would be acceptable to shift legal responsibility to her husband, saying she could not afford the fines on her own.
In subsequent messages, the singer would appeal again, saying that her mother was battling cancer and that she needed money for surgery and treatment.
A responded angrily, stating: “She destroyed a family and then asked for forgiveness because of money. I couldn’t accept it and I don’t want to see her on television anymore.”
In response, the singer denied knowingly having had an affair, claiming she believed the man’s marriage was already irretrievably broken.
“He assured me that the divorce had been agreed upon, including the division of property and alimony,” the singer would have said. “When I realized it wasn’t true, I immediately ended the relationship and sincerely apologized to his wife.”
The woman involved in the scandal reportedly gained public recognition after placing in the top 10 of a cable channel’s audition show in 2019, marking the end of her long period of obscurity. She has remained active in the entertainment industry ever since.
As the legal dispute continues, public attention remains sharply focused on whether the singer’s allegations of deception will stand up to the evidence presented.
