Actor Jeon Ho Jun has spoken out after months of controversy, revealing he has been officially cleared of assault charges and identified as the victim in a case involving his ex-girlfriend.
Jeon Ho Jun shared a lengthy statement on his personal social media account, addressing the investigation’s findings after remaining silent for seven months. “For the past seven months I have endured serious misunderstandings and harsh criticism due to false accusations,” he wrote. “During that time, I truly understood how a person’s life can fall apart in an instant.”
According to the actor, he fully cooperated with the authorities during the investigation. The final findings concluded that Jeon Ho Jun was not the perpetrator but the victim of physical abuse.
As reported by Chosun, at the time of the incident, Jeon Ho Jun was hit on the head with a cellphone by his ex-girlfriend, identified as “A.” Authorities determined that his actions during the altercation constituted the minimum self-defense necessary to protect himself.
Instead, A was formally indicted and indicted on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, trespassing, and defamation by disseminating false information.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Jeon Ho Jun expressed gratitude to his family, friends and fans who continued to trust and support him during what he described as the darkest period of his life.
The scandal first broke in May, when A publicly accused Jeon Ho Jun of physical assault and claimed that he had taken about 10 million won (about $7,500) under the pretense of marriage. He backed up his claims by releasing photos of bruises on his body.
Jeon Ho Jun quickly refuted the allegations by posting photos of his bloodied face and insisting that the allegations were made up. He later explained that he had ended the relationship three months earlier, but had faced repeated difficulties in cutting ties completely.

On the night of the incident, Jeon Ho Jun said A broke into his house in the early hours of the morning, forcing him to call the police for assistance.
As for the financial charges, he strongly denied borrowing or embezzling money. He clarified that the disputed amounts were small payments made when his personal card malfunctioned or cases where A paid voluntarily, believing that his card offered better discounts.
At the moment, Jeon Ho Jun has no plans to contact his ex-girlfriend and said he will take immediate legal action if the case interferes with the theater production he is actively participating in.
Jeon Ho Jun debuted in 2007 through musicals Notre Dame of Paris and has since become a familiar face in major productions such as Evil, Oh mama, ChicagoAND Extravagant boots. He also gained wider recognition through JTBC Ghost Singer 4. In addition to acting, he is currently active as a Pilates instructor.
The case has reignited public debate about false accusations, abused men and the lasting impact of unverified claims in the entertainment industry.
