Chow Yun-fat Looks Incredibly Young at 70 and Stuns with ‘Reverse Aging’ Transformation

Veteran actor Chow Yun-fat stunned audiences with his youthful transformation at age 70. Spotted jogging through the streets on Nov. 18, the legendary star appeared healthy, tanned, toned and with a fresh, youthful look that quickly garnered admiration online.

Observers noticed noticeable changes: a fuller physique, well-dyed black hair that replaced his once silver mane, and a clean-cut face. The actor’s radiant appearance left many comments that he seemed to be “aging in reverse.”

Just last year, Chow looked alarmingly thin due to his intense marathon training. He had lost so much weight that the veins on his arms had become prominent and he had varicose veins in his legs. Today, after cutting back on long-distance running, she has regained around 10 kilograms and her complexion has visibly improved.

According to Chinese media QQ, the transformation is partly linked to his latest film project, The Chinatown Detective, 1900which required a significant change in his physical appearance. To embody the role, Chow pledged to adopt a strict mass regime starting last year. He hired a personal nutritionist, adopted a high-protein diet and maintained a balanced workout routine to gain weight healthily. Despite the physical changes, he continues his regular morning run and follows a light and disciplined diet.

Chow remains actively involved in the entertainment industry. He will appear as a presenter at the upcoming MAMA Awards, scheduled for November 29 at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. This marks his first return to the stage in a decade, since his last appearance in 2015.

Born in 1955, Chow joined TVB in 1974 and rose to fame with series such as The Bund, InnAND The Yang Saga. In cinema, he has become a global icon with roles in A better tomorrow, Crouching Tiger, Hidden DragonAND God of gamblers.

Chow has married twice: his first marriage to ATV actress Candice Yu lasted only nine months. In 1986 he married Singapore police officer Jasmine Tan, who remains his wife today.

Despite his fame, Chow Yun-fat is loved for his humble lifestyle. He is often seen taking the subway, hiking, shopping at local markets, using an old cell phone, and wearing affordable sports clothes. With assets estimated at over HKD 5.6 billion, Chow has long pledged to donate all his wealth to charity, saying he has no intention of leaving a legacy.
