Actor Lee Yi Kyung (36) is at the center of growing controversy relating to explicit personal accusations. While his agency has declared legal action, the accuser named “A” continues to escalate the charges, saying they are actively gathering evidence and have been threatened.
On October 21, A took to X (formerly Twitter), writing, “There were so many things I couldn’t capture in screenshots with Lee Yi Kyung.” They had previously launched a blog and shared what they claim were screenshots of chats between them and the actor, saying that despite having changed phones and lost many messages, some incriminating content remains.
The alleged messages include disturbing language attributed to a user under the name Lee Yi Kyung, with sexually explicit and degrading comments. The leak quickly triggered a public backlash, further fueled by A’s insistence that they are exposing the actor’s “true self.”
As the controversy gathered steam, Lee Yi Kyung’s agency, Sangyoung ENT, issued a firm denial. They claimed that A had previously sent threatening emails demanding money about five months ago. “We are currently preparing legal action in response to the defamation, false claims and malicious rumors,” the agency announced. They also stressed that all content disseminated by A is false and that they intend to calculate the damages and pursue civil and criminal actions accordingly.
In a counterclaim, A alleged that he had previously been intimidated by the company into retracting his statements. “Yes, I told them before that it was fake because if I didn’t they would threaten to report me,” they said. “I want to make it clear once again that this is not about money,” A added, asking the public to “wait a little longer” while they continue to gather evidence.
Meanwhile, A has deleted previous blog posts relating to the allegations. A video showing Lee Yi Kyung’s social media account being accessed was also uploaded, but has been removed.
The unfolding saga has left fans and the public divided, with many waiting to see what evidence, if any, A will bring forth and how Lee Yi Kyung and his agency will respond when legal proceedings may begin.
