At the 30th Busan International Film Festival (Biff), the actress Ye-Jin opened her past, her career and her internal struggles after marriage and motherhood.
During the talk session of the actor’s house held on September 18th at the Sohyang Theater in Haeundae, his son Ye-Jin reflected on her journey as an actress and how her perspectives have moved over time.
“When I think of my twenty years, I remember wanting to age quickly,” he confessed. “I wanted to recite mature roles, show deeper and more rich emotions rather than the embarrassment or uncertainty that derive from youth. Somehow, I was an old soul at the time.”
Son Ye-Jin explained that his push derived from an relentless desire to excel: “My greed and excessive passion have pushed me. I would have worked until I collapsed, I got up and pushed again forward. Sometimes it was painful, but that despair do well is what he brought me here.”
The actress also shared her candid concerns after making the knot with her colleague actor Hyun Bin and becoming a mother: “After the wedding and childbirth, I was anxious if I could still meet an audience with great works like before.
