On September 9, Lee Min Jung uploaded a video entitled “From Silver Spoon Rumors to Boys Over Flowers Casting – Lee Min Jung’s Life Story” on his YouTube channel “Lee Min Jung Mj”. In the clip, he recalled how he misaligned his response sheet Omr (Optical Mark Recognition) during his first college school skill test (CSAT), which cost her a lot.
“I calculated the last 11 responses of a row discussed. I thought I had scored 362, but the actual result was 338. When I checked, my English omr card had been moved from a space. That day was the worst of my life,” Lee explained. The accident left her so shocked that she broke out in rashes and spent ten hours crying alone in her room.
Determined to recover, Lee said that his repeated year has been the most difficult I ever worked in his life. “My father advised me that if I wanted to write theatrical performances, I would have to study literature instead of the theater, so I focused on Korean literature. The 2001 exam was relatively easy, but I marked close to 380 out of 400. Even if it was not at the level of Sky University, I was accepted at the Sungkyunkwan University”, he shared.
Lee revealed that after such an intense year, he decided to go wild during his first year. “My mother thought I was crazy, but since I was paying for my lessons, I didn’t care,” he laughed. He added with pride that he has never taken financial support from his parents, covering his lessons and staying expenses with part-time jobs, starting with work in a coffee.
In 2001, Lee officially entered the Department of acting and art of the University of Sungkyunkwan to study the direction, which in the end put it on the road to become an actress.
